Driftwood growing fur?

Great-I'm leaving it alone-I was afriad it would grow and consume my whole tank but if it's going to go away on it's own, I'll just leave it.

I bought it at a [et store and it came with a tag saying it was treated, etc. and safe for aquarium use.

It's fine. I had the same thing happen with a piece of mopani wood I put in my tank. It looked like it was covered in lint and was truly ugly. Funny thing is, after I weeks later put some amano shrimp in the tank, the fungus almost wholly vanished within days. I don't know if they ate it, but it would be quite a coincidence otherwise.

What's an Ity? :) This happens to nearly everyone's wood within about a week of putting it in their tank. This is why I have an old cooler filled with water to soak my driftwood prior to putting it in the tank. And also I can sink the driftwood without having it in my tank.
