I just got some of this stuff in a flower nursery, it's 100% iron. Anyone know the dosage rate of these things? Dry dose or mixed with water? How much?

Thanks for your time.

That link to the krib mainly talks about dosing Iron "tablets" from nurseries, however I have the powder form which would be impossible for me to use them like jobe sticks.

Thanks for reply

Does it have any lable that tells you what the concentration of Iron is?... If it is EDTA chelate, then Iron concentration is 12% of the powder by weight... So if you want a 0.5ppm concentration then you need 0.5mg / 0.12 = ~4mg/litre or ~16mg/gallon (1 gram = 100 mg)

That is not a lot and you will need some way of measuring it (You can make a stock solution, but it is not stable in the long run and I prefer to weight it every time, but you will need fine scales to do that)

Just realised freebird is in melbourne, well maybe you've seen this item before in nurseries or hardware stores, it's Manutec Garden Care Products, Iron chelate

According to your calculation I'd need about 1 teaspoon to get 0.5ppm of iron. I'll give that a try, I just hope my Seachem iron test kit is accurate.

Thanks for replys
