dusty looking water?

i did a 50%water change on tuesday as i do every week and it always clears up within a few hours except this time, the water is still dusty, like little particals everywhere. what can i do?

Adding some mechanical filtration would probably help. A small hang-on-back filter wouldn't cost much, and would be a wise investment.

Could it be bacteria? Have you tested your water? IME UFG are garbage. They always give me a hard time after a year or so.

i havent tested the water yet and i know i should, but being physicaly disabled with little use of my hands and use a wheelchair for outside mobility ontop of living in Alaska, going anywhere in the winter is next to impossible. the road are clearing though and i need supplies soon, so what water test equipment should i look into?

Order one of those tetra laborette test kits. It has almost everything in it for cheap! I think some of the online stores will ship to Alaska.
