I just ordered a dozen of these little guys *so cute* and have been told that they will do just fine in a tank with red cherry shrimp. Does anyone have experience with dwarf crays and small shrimp being in the same tank? I know that these crays won't get big, but I'm still nervous that they might eat my baby rcs and possibly the sub adults too!

They should do fine, given enough room and food. The crayfish are very peaceful. Make sure that there are enough hiding places for the young shrimp and crayfish. That is where most of the competition will occur, between the young. There may be some killing, done by both shrimp and crayfish, but like I said, it shouldn't be an issue, as long as you provide a healthy habitat.

Given enough space, hiding spots and food. You shouldn't have too many casualties (if any) between these two species. I keep my cajuns with my shrimp and they both co-exist very peacefully, I've only had a missing shrimp here and there.

I have kept dwarf crays and shrimp together for 2 months and they don't bother each other. When the crays approach the shrimp they raise their claws and the shrimp scatter. I occasionally see a shrimp with a missing leg though. Probably the crays.
