Dwarf Gaurami

I put 10 dwarfs in my tank 3 months ago.
They died at a rat of one every 2 weeks untill all where dead.. Nothing else died.
The tank is a 55 gallon tank and set up for 4 years and many other fish are in there and nothing else died...Is there a desease like what effects Angels that effects them?? I'm puzzeled...
Any help?? I would like to put more in the tank.....I'm not new at this since I have other tanks..... And no problem..

10 is an awful lot--these guys tend to be territorial, and while a pair will usually be okay in a 15+ tank, I wouldn't put any more than that together in anything but a 100+ gallon tank. 10 in a 55 probably resulted in some serious territory issues, and this stressed the fish out. In addition, the sudden increase in the bio-load from adding 10 fish at once may have caused a mini-cycle, further stressing them.

I would consider adding MAYBE 4--get a pair of males and a pair of females if you can find them, depending on what else is in the tank.

Dwarf Gouramis aren't as robust as they once were. They arrive riddled with internal parasites.

A fish club auction might be a good source for tank-raised Dwarf Gouramis.
