Is it normal for dwarf gourami's to be very active? Because I got this male powder blue dwarf gourami that swims back and forth against the glass all day. The only time he stops is when its feeding time. He just constantly swims left and right against the glass in all sections of the tank. Is he just happy or stressed?

No, only one female DG in the tank so far and 4 growing plants + driftwood and rocks

My yellow tang would do the same thing until I gave it food to graze on and it settled in. Are your gouramis new? I know SW to FW parallelism.

Not really new... been 1 month now.

dwarfs are naturally active....mine was always on the move till the terrible wrath of ich claimed him.

currently, my paradise gourami is very active...not against the glass that much; she's usually poking around the plants and inspecting every little detail of the tank.

my gourami do that from time to time they'll stop and get bored with it

I think its because they see their reflections in the glass. Possibly, your male dwarf gourami is a moron.
