I am an experienced fish keeper and new to these forums. i figured a few people could help me out.

I recently bought a few (three) dwarf Gouramis. I love them!! they are buetiful fish and 1 moves around the tank alot. now, i also love tetras and rosy barbs and i have the tetras and barbs and dwarfs all in the same tank. i noticed a little bit of fin nipage a while ago but that has fully healed and the dwarfs havn't been bugged much anymore by the other fish. yet they stick to constantly hanging out in a densly planeted section next to the lift tube. i read that they like the places in the aquarium that are dimly lighted and really like hanging out in the palnts. am i doing okay? i just don't think they should be hanging out there. perameters and specs below:

Tank: 75g
PH 7.0 even (i'm lucky)
Hardness: Rather Hard
Temp: 78
Filtration: Marineland BioWeel 250 and undergravel filter
Food: tropical fish flakes; algea pellets as a treat as my fish seem to like those
Plants: Combomba, monywart, red ludwegia; large amounts of asorted swords.
Thanks for all your help!

they are more timid than regular gourami's and yes they hang out in plants sometimes and some others are out in the open. I havn't had much luck for one reason or another so we don't have anymore dwarf's. they can be aggressive towards eachother so the nippage might be from eachother rather than other tankmates depending on which type of barb you have. Actually now that i think about it, they never really like to all be in the same place. they have there own teritorys that they stick to. thanks for the help :)

EDIT: My rosy barbs are samller and i observed them the other day and found that there actually pretty nice to the other fish, which is a first for the rosy barb in my book.
