Old school here but could really help. Hydroclean the gravel. Rinse or squeeze any filter media in old water. Toss that water or use on lawn, flowers or etc. or what you wish. Replace that water taken from tank and retest water parameters, once the readings are good, study and take pics to see if bump is doing better. Then, go from there. Let us know how it turns out:)

Ammonia about .25 ppm every thing else is zero Will wash filter cartridge and dose with prime any other recommendations?

How is he acting? He looks healthy other than the weird orb protruding from his skull.

He is much more shy. I did plant most of the floating plant in my tank. Nothing has had effect on him which is what concerns me. Internally above his spine in the middle there are oddly shaped masses that are internal and are black. There is only one now. Used to be 2 or 3. About a centimeter long by 1 millimeter it not a worm though. Thinking those spots where cancer and the orb thingy is a tumor that was able to push through the scales. Is that possible? Or am I crazy?

He is eating my water wasteia or algae/diatoms growing on it very little at a time. Which is good I think
