Dwarf gouramis lack teeth?

I was lead to believe that my gourami could feed on pellets. However, he repeatedly spits them out and sucks them back in until he just gives up. Do gouramis not have teeth to chew with?

i think all fish have a boney jaw of some sort
i thought most fish do his even with a lage flake lots of fish spit out and take in again i think they want to get the food to the proper wetness to eat
