So I have an established 55gl tank with currently 5 dwarf neon rainbowfish,6 rummynose tetras, and 5 corys. I just got an order today of 3 female rainbows but they came significantly smaller than my other rainbows. I'm wondering if the larger rainbows will pick on them. I tried researching but nothing came up. I'm hoping that since there will be a school of 8 they will be okay. Let me know. Thanks.

Hi, I don't know the species but what I DO know is that fish can be cruel. Pecking order. Big fish pick on smaller fish. That's how it is in my tank anyway. So yes, the might be picked on. Since they will be in school though they will probably be okay. Maybe little squabbles between the group, but nothing too serious.

Neon Rainbows very rarely show any aggression at all. You should be just fine.

That's true.

Neon dwarf rainbows are like lost little puppies. They don't really bother anyone, and love they're brothers and sisters.

Awwwww.

I agree that you should be fine. They were one of the few species that, when I worked at the pet store, we could put new arrival little guys in with larger established males and nothing would go wrong.
