WHITBY, ONTARIO CANADA!
hey guys gunna get me dwarf puffers tomorrow.....just collected some new rocks for their tank, i am also getting some 6700k lights tomorrow and will then be adding plants

lucky me i saved "some" of my pond snails....which i found still alive in the old bags of gravel :) (they are in the tank above)

P.S. maybe this is just me but the whole "totally submersible" heater scares the **** outta me lol.....payed 30 bucks canadian for it! people say it is the best tho so its all good :)

some plants for the backround would look pretty cool

its looks awesome the way it is though

submersible heaters are a lot safer than the hang on ones, less breakage, and you dont risk being electrocuted whenever its moved, lol

good luck with the puffers

One thing to watch is the size of the grate on the intake tube. Puffers aren't strong swimmers (tiny fins) and you want to be certain they can't get sucked up. A sponge or filter floss wrapped around the intake does the trick.

I love the rocks, it will look great when the plants go in!

i see what u meen about the intake, i acctually have some floss type stuff that came with the new filter, it holds some "bio" stuff anyway i am not usin that stuff so i can use the floss

and ya i love the rocks, there is crap loads of them in my back yard, they are from the lake.

ok so the guys gave me 4 instead of 3 but that is ok i guess, all but one are missing thier back tail fin, but other than that they are healthy and are the only fish that has watched me! i found that very funny

even tho many may say that i should have waited i could just not leave them in that over stocked tank any longer! (they had WAYY over stocked it for boxing week, and all the puffers were attacking each other)

here is one pic of them :)

they look so cute!

IM thinking of making me 10g into a Dp tank, with about 2 or 3.

Well i have finally got my puffers to eat blood worms, i just found i have to put them in the filter current

But on a sad note i lost one puffer, who from the beginning he has not been eating, staying in the corner by himself, and this morning i found him sucked against the filter dead

I recently added 2 dwarf puffers to my 55gal community tank. They have been massacreing my snail population, and I agree, they are not strong swimmers. Very cool little fishies though. You'll be very happy with them.

Nice!!

I agree...I have been old school regarding heaters for a while, recently one of mine went on the 90 so I got a single 300W submersible...I still keep the dial ABOVE water...for some reason I can't get used to the idea...never liked the powerheads for that reason as well....I have never heard of someone getting shocked from one...but you never know!!

nice but tiny fish :)
