I'm considering geting a dwarf puffer for my tank. I was wondering if it will eat my feeder guppies? My guppies are less then an inch and very skinny. My school got them for a project and I got to take them hom.

maybe. puffers are not very social fish. you could try it, but have a backup plan in case it doesn't work out.

I don't know that the puffer would eat them (size issue), but he would definitely harass them. Dwarf puffers should be kept in a species tank with about 2.5-3 gallons of open water each. They are notorious fin nipper, and while some people say they keep them in a community tank successfully, the majority of people can't see it happening. At the very least, they shouldn't be kept in a crowded community tank. How many guppies are we talking in what size tank?

great! go for it, then! (P.S. how big is your tank, exactly?)

yeah, im really surprised people suggested 2 or 3 dwarf puffers for a 5 gallon tank! didn't know you could fit so many. now im thinking about getting them for my 10 gallon tank. currently theres 2 bettas but they will be movied in a 5 gallon somewhere in the future. how many d. puffers do you think i can get for it?

i heard males are territorial, so should i get 2 males, and the rest females?
