Dwarf Puffers and African Dwarf frogs, Are these too species compatable? Im gonna go to my LFS today to purchase to ottos for my puffer tank and i thought it would be kinda cool to have a little frog, but i was skeptical about adding them with the puffers. They're both dwarfs, got something in common :/

Thanks

No. Not compatible. They can't be kept with anything nippy - which dwarf puffers are. Sorry:(

BTW - I see you've posted this in brackish water...the frogs are PURELY freshwater. They dont' handle salt well. And neither do otos. Those are also strictly freshwater fish. Are you keeping brackish water or freshwater puffers???

All puffer posts are supposed be in the BW forum, so the inquiry is in the right place. Dwarf puffers are also FW, as are the frogs.

But I agree that DP and dwarf frogs do not mix -the frogs are very poor competitors for food, and would be nipped.

Sorry, I've just heard some people refer to their small BW puffers as dwarfs and assumed that was what he meant since it was in the BW section. Either way, it's not a good idea unless you want limbless frogs
