Right now I have a 10-gal aquarium with 2 zebra danios, 2 longfin leopard danios, a chinese algae eater, and 2 dwarf aquatic frogs. I was thinking of get a dwarf puffer or two to add to the aquarium, but I read that they can be nippy, so I was concerned esp. about the longfins. Any suggestions? Would they make a good addition, or should I hold off?

If you had a bigger tank it might be alright...but because its only a 10 gallon I would be concerned about the lonfins and even more concerned about your dwarf frogs. So I would say hold off

as far as being incompatible goes, chinese algae eaters get big, and they get mean. after a while, they may start to attack other fish b/c they enjoy eating the slime coat every now and then.

dwarf puffers should be kept 1 to every 3 gallons. it should be species-only though, and even then some of them will attack and kill each other. one of the other members here went through 4 dp's before he finally gave up on trying to get more, because the one he already had kept killing all the others.
