Hello everyone, currently I have 3 siamese algae eaters, 4 neon tetras,3 glowlight danios,3 zebra danios, 2 tri colour sharks, 2 red tail sharks.... I'm thinking of adding dwarf cichlids to the mix or tiger barbs, the tank is 90 gallons, lots of good rock cover and shortly ill be adding line plants, which should I add? Or can I add both? I worry about tiger barbs nipping fins but I hear in larger schools they're ok? What would you add? Thanks!

I would add more to the schools if I was you. Especially the neon tetra's. In a tank of that size you can do like 20 tetras and it would look cool.

I wouldn't add another schooling fish into the mix that isn't schooled. You already have danios and tetra's so just get more tetra's. But if you really want one of the other two I would have to say barbs. Just because the sharks are bottom dwellers and so are dwarf cichlids for the most part. Both are agressive type fish and will not get along well together. If you didn't have sharks I would say cichlids. So if you have to do those 2 I vote barbs, but suggest more neon tetras.

I agree, up the totals of each type first.

See my sig.
