Anubias and java moss are up there. But when you mention the dandelion of plants I think of hornwort, Ceratophyllum demersum. One of the fastest even under low light.
In my limited experience, (1 year with plants) my Anubias are my toughest plants, but they are very slow growing. My fastest growing plants are Hygrophila polysperma and Ludwigia repens.
I'd say the easiest I've kept are hornwort, anubias, and java moss. Contrary to its reputation of a fast spreading weed, duckweed doesn't do well in my tank...
Cabomba I spelled it wrong . what melts aquatic plants faster than anything is fast flow. keep plants away from spraybars & they will do @ least better.
My platies never gave the cabomba a chance at anything. If you have platies, stay away from cabomba, they'll eat it faster than it'll grow and you'll have needles swimming all over the place. I really don't know if they eat it or if they just enjoy pulling all the needles from the stems. I mean they were nonstop. It's quite entertaining, but frustrating if you're trying to get it to grow. I still pick some up every now and again just to watch the platies go at it. I don't mind the needles too much, just make sure to clean up after them. My little platies!
Amazon swords...definately. Mine are huge and I have never supplemented with anything in the tank they're in. Big beautiful leaves...all covered in snails.
