I have to back you up on the Alaska not being crappy part. I have been all over the world, and of all the places I have been, Alaska is the only one I am anxious to return to. I was only there for a month, and it was July in Anchorage, but it was phenomenal. Cruise the Caribbean? Whoopee. Been there, done that. And yes, I got the t-shirt. LOL I want to do an Alaskan Cruise. That would rock.fishcatch22 said:
I'll go along with you on the desert thing halfway. A desert is not a crappy place per-se, but IME a desert is a crappy place to be. Yes there is life there. Too much of it owns venom to suit my taste though. LOL Yes, you can find food there. But snakes and scorpions are not delicacies in my book. LOL Maybe if I had been there for something other than survival school, I may have a different opinion of the place.
Now for a cool place, teeming with life, you can't beat a jungle. True, there are insects that could carry you home in a to-go box, and snakes that could swallow you whole, but overall, they avoided us. The snakes, that is. The insects were a different matter. The part I liked least was probably the humans that were trying to shoot us, but I don't think they were actually a part of the jungle - they were just visitors like us.
I don't really want to go back to either the jungle or the desert. Can't imagine why... LOL
