I have a 55 gallon tank with:
45 Pounds of natural gravel (black)
16 Pounds of Flourite
I need more fert. for the substrate and was wondering if I can mix flourite with Eco Complete?
Reason: My uncle is comming from the US and here (Canada) Eco Complete costs double what it does in the US. I was wondering if I can get a bag of EcoComplete and mix it with my other substrates. It wont look bad because most of my gravel is black anyways.
Option #2 would be to tell him to get a bag of Flourite instead but the downside is the clouding that it does to the tank and I am still having nightmares from what it did to my tank last time lol.
