EcoComplete vs Fluorite?

I'm sure this has been debated before, but which is best for my 10 gallon low-medium light planted tank?

They both work well. I prefer the look of ecocomplete and the no mess aspect of not having to rinse it before adding to the tank.

this is a 50/50 answer everyone like both but i prefer eco complete

I agree, this is mainly a matter of personal preference.

Never attempted eco complete but I am trying fluorite....only downside is its a pain to wash and still creates a mess in the beginning.

I'm running a mix of both since my LFS did not have enough of one to cover my 58. Therefore the mix, based on this I would use the Eco, less mess and smaller particle size plus from what I've experienced the Eco has a richer black color. JMHO. Good luck.

i have flourite but i didn't rinse it the first time i used it and my tank was cloudy for hours.

eco-complete i like not having to wash it. i do like flourite black sand though it is really hard to wash

I have black flourite sand and I like it, but I have never had eco-complete
