effect of dead fish if burried in substrate..

growing plants is about keeping nutrients balanced in the water column, I'd be afraid that the fish would make maintaining that balance hard especially if it is bigger than an inch or two.

I might put in a house plant's pot but it makes for to many variables in the tank imo.

thanks... its a betta :( my tinfoil killed it :(

yuck i wouldn't bury it in the tank, it might stink or start floating around the tank in bits when it rots. i'd think it might also mess up your ammonia and nitrites and whatnot if you don't have a really good biological filter and a lot of plants. it also probably depends on how big the tank is.

its an old betta :( i needed its tank for my tilapias. so i thought i throw it into my 75 gallon with a small tinfoil whick i'm waiting to reach a size fo 6 inch so that i can throw into my arowana tank..
the tinfoil's only 3 inches .
