I wish I had an answer for you, but found it hard to find specs on the 2026.
My GUESS is that you'll be fine, but it's always good to have as much filtration as possible. That's not to say that the 2028 is the best way to go... I'm not sure what the difference in price is, but it might actually be a better move to get a second filter instead of a larger single filter. Having two gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of water movement and media types, and also gives you some backup if one clogs or fails.
what is the flow rate on the 2026? the 2028? the price of each?
