I'm thinking about getting the surface skimmer from Eheim for my cannister filter. I was told to do this with the bigger cannister filter I would need a T-adapter to do this. Does anyone know what size I would need and how do I connect both the intake and skimmer to it? Here is a picture of the T that I need just not sure what size.

Use on the intake side of your canister filter. Quietly removes surface sludge and protein build-up. This product can hook up to any canister filter with flow rate up to 200 gph. Eheim filter 2217 requires part aswo #7801 to tee off the intake and eheim filter 2250/2260 requires part aswo #7820 to tee off the surface extractor. Connects to 12/16 mm tubing or 3/8" id tubing.

Put the aswo # into the search box to get the T you need.

I was also thinking of getting this eheim skimmer but I was told the fluval skimmer has the same hose size as the eheim. The fluval one is $10 or close.
