Yes you can add an urchin but there needs to be enough algae to sustain it. That shouldn't be a problem though. Acclimate it and other inverts carefully.

that's the natural next step. I saw people talking about it "taking over" the tank and being all upset about this so when it happened in mine I went and got the turbo snails. 2 days later not a speck of green was to be seen anywhere. I think in retrospect I may have overreacted. :)

Turbos are a good first livestock, imho. They survived my fumbling noobie efforts anyway.

green hair algae can and will spread rapidly and take over your tank IME. I would not leave it in one of my tanks.
