Has anyone else ever used this? I have just added the very first dose to treat some very mild green algae (thought I would get it before it "took hold" and my aquarium water has turned the most alarming shade of green! Is this normal?

im not familiar with what you used but the key to solving your algae problem is to find the cause and eliminate it. what are your parameters? what kind of lighting do you use? is there any direct sunlight onto your tank?what kind of algae is it? was the tank set up recently?

Hi Jaysen

Not sure on parameters, must admit I take water sample in to my local aquaria shop every couple of weeks when I go in for food and they test it, they always say it's fine. Should I buy my own test kit? Excuse my ignorance but how often do most people test?

The tank gets no direct sunlight, and the light is the standard bulb tha came with the tank. 230V, I assume UV light.

well ive used a few esha products an i find them really good

Just had a bit of a panick at the colour of the water so did about a 25% water change, has made no difference at all! Water still bright green. 2 guppies in the 20g tank who currently seem ok, but am now very worried! Blurb on box for eSHa Protalon 707 says totally harmless, so maybe I should just wait until morning and see if water has cleared. Could do with someone to set my mind at rest though.....
