Your goldfish tank looks like my goldfish tank used to many years ago.

5 black moors 5 feeders 2 orange fantails 1 calico fantail a dojo loach 4 cory cats. all in a 10g , don't even ask how they FIT let alone lived, because i'm still wondering myself:rolleyes: :o .
 
9 months no sickness is good. ;)

i have friends who had goldfishes with bigger tanks and better filtration and more water change and still have more diseases than mine.

they've grown much bigger now, not yet double but they are growing.

won't be long before they run out of space, that's why i'm preparing space for another 4ft tank.
 
Goldfish happy?Do they have emotion?All i know their brains all have one thing in common,that is to EAT and EAT.

Hey i have a few questions my goldfish keeps going to the bottom and sucks up the rocks and spits them back out i am afraid he/she is going to choke any one no y he or she is doing that

I've had two fancies in a 30 gallon and though it's pleasing to see, it's an awful lot of work. Water changes are a must twice a week to keep things stable, and they are above all, messy. The filter needs to be double that for a "typical" thirty gallon as well because of the high amount of waste. I just had one of mine put to sleep earlier this week and have the one left and can already see the difference in water quality.
 
Did you say you had 10 GF in a 1 Gallon tank? I know you siad you moved them to a 10 gal. which is still horrible. Its not the fact that they wont live its the fact that they wont be able to grow. I mean what if your mother stuck you and 9 other people in the closet and fed you and you had everything you need to live, but you would not thrive. Imagine how horrible that would be???

As far as the main question..I would put 1 GF in there if your wofe just really wants one. I think it will do okay, but no more than one especially if you have a 9" Pleco in there already.
