fancy swords and their fry

I ahve 2 very pregnant fancy swords. They are going into a "nursury tank "tonite full of plants.

Ive been reading alot and think I know how to take care of teh fry, what I dont know is this:

How long before colors start to show? What about changes in fins? When can tehy be sexed and need to be separated from each other?

Im not exactly even sure who Daddy is and that makes me curious. These females are the super long finned fancy type. When I got them 5 weeks ago they were in a tank with 3 fancy males. At my house they've been house with a standard marigold sword male and 2 hifin platy males. Will it be obvious if they are hybrids?

Dont worry, I will not be selling possibly hybridized swords, they will all be for my personal use and distributed between several tanks and in spring several ponds too.

Okay, well in researching male lyretail swords are unable to breed. So if the female is a lyretail about 50% will be lyretail. The highfins are usually a dominant trait.

Now Im just waiting for these two to deliver before they explode. Ill share my results. Is till hope within a year to have some of the most beautiful, large lyrtail and hifin swordtails
