FAT Female Black Widow Tetra (Pic)

I have 5 Black Widow Tetras, only one is female and she is constantly FAT and I mean FAT. I assume because of eggs but she has never layed any (I tried putting her in the breeder once with a male but nothing happened). She's been like this for months so I don't think it's a 'health problem'.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why she's constantly full of eggs but doesn't want to breed???

for some reason, many female BW tetras get very fat for no apparent reason, they are completely healthy, ect., and live normal tetras lives 'till the end of their days. who knows? it's a mystery...

Well that's nice to know, it's not just my fish. The funny thing is she doesn't eat as much as the the others either.

Thats funny, One of my black skirts also looked very fat all the time. I never made the connection that it might be a female with eggs although I asume that is very possible. At any rate, the fish always seemed ver healthy and so I just chalked it up to it being a little piggy
