I have a Python type water changer. I have a bathroom sink faucet like this: http://www.marshaltrading.com/bathroom-faucet-replacement.php

The problem is that I have to constantly move around the lever part to get the right temperature and the temp just keeps on changing. It never seems to be the right temp.

I don't want to mix water in a bucket. I have the luck to have perfect water straight from the tap and don't want to deal with a bucket and having to buy a water pump to move water from a bucket to the tank.

Is there anything I can put on or add to my faucet to set the right temperature?

Once you adjust the temperature on the faucet it shouldn't change unless you run out of hot water.

Is it an extreme change of temp? I usually end up going slightly cooler into the tanks rather than warmer. That is said to induce breeding in some species even.

Are you keeping sensitive fish or inverts? If not I wouldn't worry about it, I take water straight from tap to tank as well and I use nothing but cold water.

Do you keep any inverts? I have a few amano shrimp and wonder if I could do this as well in my community tanks. Also, how much do you change at a time?

How's the water coming out of your shower? If you're able to keep a steadier temp from the shower instead of the sink, you might consider investing in a shower diverter that would allow you to hook the python up to the shower instead. Installing a shower diverter is one of the first things I plan on doing when we buy a house. :)

I have all types of snails in most of my tanks as well as RCS, I change right around 50% weekly. My fish seem to love it almost like the cold water invigorates them :)

IM ASSUMING THAT YOUR USING SOME TYPE OF DECHLORINATION DUCH AS PRIME......
There's no need for dechlor as I am on a well.

Interesting. I'll have to see how my fish like it cold. Thanks!
