Hey, new here, but I'm thinking about making a viv for fire bellied toads. I'm using a 20G long tank and am thinking 3/4 water, 1/4 land, but wanted to know if it was safe to use spagnum moss on soil as the substrate possibly. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I personally havent use spagnum moss as a substrate, but I have seen people on vivarium forums use it with no problems.

I dont think it would be a problem as its big enough to not get a hunk of it in their mouth, but its a good place for crickets to hide under being un-eatable

Awesome. cant wait for some pics.
