feeder snails

Does any one have a recommendation for feeder snails? A Fahaka eats 1-2 snails a day. I would like to set up a snail tank and buy them 100 at a time. But it does get expensive. Some one suggested frozen escargot but Im not sure he’ll take the frozen snails.
How many years do you think it will take for a baby snail to grow to feeder size and is it realistic to try and breed them for this purpose.

many people breed snails for feeders. even more people breed snails without meaning to. i'm not familiar with that kind of puffer. . . okay, well, any kind of puffer. what size snail are we talking about?

small pond snails are easy to get, easy to breed, and grow fairly quickly. they don't get bigger than 1/2 inch, but you could just feed more of them. for one of them to reach full size in a clean tank with plenty of food. . . . weeks, not years. just set up a tank and go to your lfs, they might be happy to give you snails from their plant tank or just let you sit there and pick them out.

mystery snails might also be an option, they have a harder shell but that might be better for a large puffer. you can generally find egg clutches available on ebay, these clutches have hundreds of baby snails for maybe 5 bucks plus shipping. you might have to buy small snails while the babies grow a little bigger but it's cheap and you'll be set for a long time.

i have lots of mini ramshorn snails, they have a soft shell and breed like crazy. only 1-2mm though
