Feeding/Filtration

I have a 10 gallon community tank. this tank has 2 female betas, 2 corydoras, 6 blackskirt tetras, and 2 golden wonder killis (poop monsters by the way  )...do you think this is too much or could I add some more fish...

feeding these guys can be fun because they all are fairly hyper..there are some negatives of this though...I feed them bloodworms and some flake food.. wellthe problem i have is the top swimmers eat up all the food no matter how much i put in there...and the tetras only get a little bit. so i tried to sprinkle some bloodworms in one corner and in the other i sprinkle some flakes.. but that doesnt work to well either, it kinda works but not really.. any suggestions?

now with the filtrations. I know that with 10 gallons you dont need some huge filtering system. but i want one that works good. at the moment i have one of those penguin bio wheel mini filters...it works good..but ive been noticing that my water gets pretty cloudy some days. I figured this could be caused by over feeding. So i have not been feeding AS much as i have been. I admit before it got cloudy, i was a little slack on the water changes and gravel vacuuming. Now i have been doing almost daily vacuuming/water changes to get the accumulated waste and excess food from the gravel. I has been getting clearer and clearer, but if I skip a day from doing the maintenance, than it starts to get cloudy again. So do you guys know of another additional or different filter that i can use inorder to lessen the vacuuming and water changes to keep the water crystal clear. I appreciate your help.

The thing i hate about 10 gals is that there right in
that inbetween stage where its not really a big tank
but its not really a small tank either.. you could get
a fluval 202 and just run it at low speed it will keep you
tank crystal clear for years and is stone cold
quite..... im hooked on canister filters and will never get another type of filter ever again... order online its way cheaper than lfs.
It comes with media and sponges so all you do for maintanece
is rinse them alot better than buying these cartrages and what not
every couple of weeks,, well its just my opinion good luck i hope you
get your water clear like the rockies in winter...

To address your feeding issue, it may start as a bit of a hassle, but try using a length of rigid tubing (like the uptubes of UGF's) and insert it into your tank to the level of your tetras, and drop some of the food down through the tube. The food will sink and the top feeders wont be able to get at it right away, then it will come out of your tube in the feeding range of your tetras who will have a better chance at grabbing some.

Alternatively, you may try pre-soaking your flakes in tank water (in a clean dish or cup) and pouring it in. It will sink readily and the current from the pouring in should carry some of it down to the tetras quickly.

In either situation, be sure to monitor how much you are feeding each day.

I have a similar problem between the rasboras and tiger barbs.

You are definatly at your max right now in that tank. A fluval 104 would do very good on that tank. Keep the water nice and clean and definatly keep up with the bio-filteration.
