I have read bits and pieces of other threads talking about feeding fish everything from cucumbers to oranges, but haven't found anything that really delves into the topic. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on what works best for their fish. It would be good to have a guide on what to do and what not to do when feeding your fish produce.
For instance, at my local Petsmart I noticed they had stuck slices of orange in some of the tanks held in place by one of those clips with a suction cup. My fish nibbled at an orange slice that I left floating in the tank, but never really ate that much of it.
I also dropped a slice of cucumber and zucchini in and the next day all that was left was the thin skin.
I have noticed a bit more floating debree with the vegetables as they seem to come apart after being in the water for a while. Does this just mean I should remove the uneaten portions sooner so they don't fall apart as much?
