I've heard that many types of fish love to eat zuchinni. Is there anything special I should do to prepare it? Will all omnivorous and herbivorous fish eat zucchini?

When I feed it to mine, I blanch it first. Put it in Boiling water for just a minute or two and then under cold water right after, take the seeds out and throw it in...they love it and eat it up!!!

When i put mine in..
I cut it in half long ways and put an elastic with it on a rock so it doesnt float and they eat it that way.

If you heat or freeze you kill the nutrition value.
Even fish without teeth will have no problem picking it to nothing.

Offering veggies is a great way to supplement your fish diets!

Just as an aside, be sure to remove the veggie before it dissintegrates and clouds your water!

I blanch mine (blanching is often used to not only soften the veggie, but to aid it in sinking), and introduce the veggie right at lights out (for my corys, plecos and raphiel). When I get up I remove the veggie, or what's left of it.

I also tie my piece to a string and have it taped to my tank's top-lip so i never have to reach into my tanks! ;)

Actually, blanching is fine...softening it and it will help it sink. Also taking the seeds out will save "fishing" them out later.

However you end up doing it, your fishies will like it and be very happy!! Be sure to take out any left overs...

I slice mine long ways and attach it to a rock with a rubberband. My fish eat it up so fast there is little or no time to remove any of it.
