This is sort of a long question, here it goes. I wanna keep about 8 freshwater clams in a large critter thingy with a small water jet. I'm getting the idea that I can keep these guys alive because I've taken care of coral before and it sounds like that's how these guys eat. I can pour my aquarium water in their aquarium and I could use a water jet to push the Phytoplankton around.

Is this okay? I hope so. I'm really excited about it. But I can take the dissapointment.

well clams are recomended to be kept 1 per 40 gallons.... but im not sure if that applies when you feed them phyto

Good, man. Good. I'll make sure I'll take great care of these guys. Hope it's not against the law to pick some up from the creek. Quick question though. What's the difference between a freshwater clam and a freshwater mussel.

one is a clam, one is a mussel. I read somewhere on hear that it was illegal to sell mussels, don't quote me on that though.
