Feeding Q: dwarf lion and Dark spotted Eel

Just got a couple guys for my tank on Sunday, a dwarf lion and a dark spotted eel (as you already know from teh title probably). Anyways, a couple questions on feeding. 1. how often should they both be fed? 2. can i overfeed them, or will they just not eat if I try to feed them too much?
My dark spotted eel is amazing, onyl about 9 inches I figure, and he eats like crazy, I only had feeders from my cichlids when I brought him home, so i gave him 4-5 of those, and he devoured them. (hes pretty aggressive, but yet still gentle, I ahve been feeding him by hand, and he will lunge at the food, but if hes not sure its food he'll just kinda play with it with his mouth, I thought he was gonna bite my finger, but I didn;t pull it away and he just played with it for a sec and then let it go). anwyays, today i went out and bough a couple hundred grams of fresh white fish from the grocery store(forget what kind, btu its good stuff) and he eats and eats and eats quiet a bit. am I overfeeding him? anyways, any advice would be good, the lionfish hasn't ate yet, unless he ate some feeders, I left teh other half dozen in for them, and they were gone when I woke up.

BTW, I know your not supposed to feed them feeders, but its all I had at teh time, so yeah, just so someone can save their breath.

Yes you can overfeed them, and also the more you feed the more they poo, the higher the nitrates will go. A marine biologist i know fed his moray, 5 fish a day, and they were about 5 cm long.

How bigs the lion? compared to the feeders

I have a two inch radiata and if he eats about 1 cm cubed of lance fish his belly looks full. He is also very funny about the size of the food he'll go for too small he wont snap at it too big hell spit it out. i feed small ammounts every other day. and alternate between, squid, krill, mysis, squid and lancefish (all frozen) I have never fed him live food

Once moved to a new tank they can sulk for a while and refuse food, give him time and offer him food every onther day, try using a clear feeding stick to simulate a live behavior

Lions are smart fish, i fed my lionfish using a net once, now everytime he sees the net he follows it all over the tank, i now feed him solely using the net. What i am trying to say is set up a routine for feeding him ie, feed him a certain time of day and put the food in the same area of the tank, I also know of people that knock on the top of the tank just before feeding time
