Is it okay to variy the feeding time of my fish from day to day or do fish (like me) enjoy a regular feeding time better?

Thanks

Well, the fish probably won't care much, but they will get used to being fed at a specific time, and you can use this to train the shy or nocturnal fish to come out specifically for feeding. In the wild, fish feed throughout the day, with heavier feedings based on the activity of their foods--ie, mosquitos aren't active at high noon, so fish that feed on mosquitos aren't feeding at high noon either. In the aquarium, it's usually easier to provide a few meals, rather than a buffet line. I try to feed about the same time most days, but I don't freak if I'm a bit off.

Thanks...actually it is just that I like watching my fish eat and Idon't have the time to do so int he morning anymore so I was figuring on switching to evening feeding. I have minnows and cories that seem to be active all the time so there aren't any picky eaters.

Ahhh...Nope, feed whenever is convenient. I feed in the evenings, since that way there are leftovers for my nocturnal fish to consume. Heck--my lights aren't even on when I leave to come to work!

Thanks...that is pretty much what I thought but it is nice to get some backup. My lights come on during the day to help the plants grow and I hate to feed them in the dark, though I am sure that is just me as the fish don't seem to care one way or the other if it is just ambient light or the main tank lights.
