I Started To Feed My Fish With Frozen Bloodworms Which They Seem To Love. Can I Feed That On A Daily Basis Or Frozen Foods Should Be On Occasion? I Of Course Have 3 Other Types Of Food That I Feed Them To Alternate.
Thanks
i'd limit the use of ANY one food type to every couple of days and increase the variety you feed your fish. this will help to insure they get a well rounded diet which is important to proper growth.
I would use fresh or frozen every other day at max and suppliment with a good flake or pellet food. The fresh and frozen bloodworms are a great source of protein but no carbs and little fiber. I use frozen as a treat every so often.
On my 10G and 65G tanks I feed Omega One flake (Marine Staple for the 10G, Super Color for the 65G) and thawed frozen bloodworms at night. Twice a week, I skip the morning feeding and feed thawed frozen brine shrimp. All my fish have grown wonderfully, and have excellent color.
I feed my fish flakes are their staple food. Every 2 days they get freeze dried bloodworms. And they get spirulina wafers + shrimp pellets in their diet as well on occasion. Their colors are excellent and they appear healthy. My goldfish get frozen peas every night and flakes in the morning with bloodworms as a treat every now and then. They also get some live plants to nibble on throughout the day.
am i the only one who goes for walks in the summer specificly to forage food for my fish. i have taken walks on rainy days just to collect worms on the side walk. angel fish love crickets!!!
