Hi all! I have been wondering if I could put in a female betta in my community tank?
I know they can be put in with fish in the tank if the tank's big enough and so my tank size is 33 gallon Juwel Rio 125 and I have a sponge filter and a spare 15 gallon tank if something would go wrong here. Before I'll get her, I definitely will need a heater first.

As a stock in my tank I have 3 swordtails,1 molly, guppies and platies, shrimp (amano, cherry and gabon), pleco.
Future stock (in about 2 weeks time), 6 corydoras aeneus.

Do I need to know of something else?

Yes, a female betta can be in a community tank. Just watch and see if she is aggressive to any other fish and you can remove them into your spare tank.

Another big risk is overeating... this can cause dropsy.

Then just put her in the 15 gallon from the start

You don’t say what kind of guppies. If they’ve got big flowing fins, I’d be watchful. Female bettas can be nippy and big fins are a serious temptation.

True, I have one juvenile endler guppy, hybrid of guppy and endler and one is normal female guppy and another one is an orange blonde guppy I think.
