Came in from work last night and found her on her back, cannot believe it, i even bought a smalle male for her................. All params are ok temp water 80...
Cannot understand it all other fish ok...
Fed her peas every night at lights out , she was shy but got her food.
Thinking about getting another female for the male but not sure...

Yes he was in q for 12 days and feeding, he is in great shape and flys around the tank, well swims fast and eats like a pig, loves his peas...
Not a blemish on him or any of the other fish in there.
I will wait a week and see..
Thanks for replying

I am sorry for your loss. I love plecos too.

You stated that your tank parameters were okay. Can you provide details on the tank such as size, stocking/ specific parameters of the water/maintenance performed etc.,

Perhaps there is something that is being overlooked that we can find. Your temp seems a bit high for the bristlenose IMO.

Brought temp down to 74, have done 3 water changes 20 percent and have more caves added, plus backed off on frozen food at moment.. 30 gallon tank, bog oak , heavily planted, jut sword tails in it at moment....plus male bristlenose,,

My temp is 80 in all my tanks, my adult LF browns just had babies and my LF -L-144's are growing like weeds.. I would look further than just your temp, and I could be wrong but isn't 74 low? I thought 76-78 was a more "normal" temp range.. I'm probably wrong.

from what i know my plecos have been living in water over 80 degrees farenheit and still is healthy.did the peas come into any contact with any chemicals such as soap
