Female Guppy: How long on the fry and when should i trap my female?

Well, she definitely no wheres near giving birth in a few days.

It would be a good idea to get more ideas. And i urge you, PLEASE resist putting her in a breeding trap!
truthfully, females are more likely to eat the fry then males. It is natural process that all female livebearers do to reduce the amount of fry, so that some have a better chance of surviving. And generally, having every single fry survive isn't the best thing ever either. Think about it... One female gives birth about 10-12 times a year. And each batch is about 20 babies. yearly, that means you can get up to 200+ babies! I don't think you really want that many, do you?

i do my brown knife and red tail barbs and African leaf fish and dwarf gouramis love them.

another way to tell she's very close to dropping the babies are

1. She will sit very close to the bottom and gasp very heavily (and as you've found out) will keep to herself and kind of isolate herself from the other fish

2. The males will try to eat her poop...I know it sounds grosse and it is lol
But when the females are extremely close to giving birth...they either barely digest their food (as their tummies are so big) or they emit some smell in their excrement that makes the males chase them constantly and nip at their anus (Maybe they can smell the fry...i dunno)

I know it sounds weird but I have witnessed this numerous times and often about a day or 2 prior to the female giving birth

IME, the gravid spot isn't the deciding factor if it is pregnant or not. I had a lone female guppy whose gravid spot was very large and very dark but didn't spawn fry for a month or two. It was only shortly after I introduced a male in it that it spawned. I think the spot may have been the eggs waiting for a male to fertilize them. As this guppy was really fat, I couldn't tell if its body was "square" or not.

Those tips have both been going on for the last 2 days

hmm i've got kinda skeptical a couple of times lately and i ended up putting her in the trap 2x in the past week :/ but nothing yet :<
i don't want to keep her in there more than i have to but i don't want her to be stressed out by my male and not drop too. :<
the first time was about 2 hours. the second time was about 4 hours :<
because i really couldn't tell
i still can't tell when.

the best thing u can do is just leave her an see wot happens she will be fine an u will have fry just provide plenty of places for them to hide, i know wot its like lol u get all excited an u want it all to go well but they fish lol an they do wot they want i had over 30 fry an i have only 12 but i have 12 healthy fry who are getting bigger an eat all the food an im sure are gonna grow into some pretty fish,
