hey,

I have a pair of red devils male about 30cm and female bout half the size. Anyway theyve been exhibiting mating behaviour for about a week now (in a standard 6 foot setup).

She stays behind her divider and has cleaned the rocks, however when she came out into the main tank the male would ferioucsly chase her, not biting her but just giving her a nudge. They both started being very agressive towards me (normal RD behaviour).

Anyway i came to c them this morning to find that the male has been severly beaten and continuing to do so. I quickly separated the 2.

But the male is preety beat up. He is swimming vertically wot do u think i should do. I put in some salt and stress coat. Anyfing else?
Should i take him out of the tank and into another?

Is this pairing over, will they pair again?

Regards
