Do they need any land, can they live in an aquariuam, will they catch pet fish with with that intimidating claw, how big of a tank do they need, are they freshwater, and what temperature do they need?? Thanks!!!

they need land

most need brackish water or saltwater; only a few can survive in freshwater.

not that I know of, the males use their huge claws for display purposes only.

the mid 70s is fine for most tropical species.

They do need access to an area above the water line and a way to get there. On the other hand they are escape artist. I had mine with small tetra's and he never got one. They do need brackish condition... Something I found out to late due to lack of research. 74 - 78 give or take on the temp.
