I recently bought a used filter off of somebody for my 15 gallon tank. It is a power filter with an intake tube. The only name on the filter is "Regent". My problem is that the filter did not come with any instructions. I am not sure where the filter media is located in this sort of filter as my other tanks use whisper filters. Do I have to remove the intake tube in order to find the media? Thanks in advance for your help!

How many inches wide is it? I have included a link to the manufacturer's website for the manual. Just skip any steps that have to do with a Biowheel.
You have an Aqua Tech Power Filter and the cartridges and power filters are found at wally world. The more cartridges you buy, the cheaper in the long run!

some of the regent aqua-tech filters are based on a design similar to the penguin by marine land..thos can actually be retro fitted with the bio wheel
some of the newer ones are modeled after a whisper design.

the regent modeled after the penguin is basically the penguin sans the bio wheel..it utilizes the pad/carbon cartridge.
as fishieperson suggested..check out the nearest wallyworld..they prob have the filters in stock

Thank you guys for all of your help. I think I finally have this figured out. I am going to the lfs tomorrow to look for filter cartrages. I'll let you know how it goes. Should I consider a bio-wheel add on?
