Just bought a used 125 gallon Show tank with a large wet/dry filter. It has the hang on the back daul over flow, the tank is not drilled and I do not want to drill it. the tank was used as a salt water tank by the previous owner. I have never used a wet/dry filter before. i was wondering what type of filter media if any you use in the filter? The only thing it has in it now is bio-balls and a sponge.

The tank will be a heavily stock fresh water tank with bala sharks pl*co, 1 very large angle and several other types of fish that will be added as we go.

no, since I have never used a wet/dry before was unsure if I would need to add anything to the bio-balls and sponge to filter the tank. I was thinkin about maybe adding some filter floss and or carbon and a drip plate pad

flow rate of the filter is 800 gph and the pump is rated at 900 gph.

that is what i use on mine, and i also add some micron felt from time to time for water polishing. IMHO these filters are the best, easy to maintain and have very large capasity. hope you like yours as much as i like mine
