Hi everyone, I'm into my 3rd day into Ick treatment, salt ratio ok, temperature 29°C (84,2°F) Trophont still attached to Betta, Otos fine. But now I have noticed my filter efficiency is no longer at full flow. Is this because of the increased water density due to the added salt? If not how do I go about cleaning the filtration, it is a new tank, outside filter one month old (bio cartridge) with porous cylindrical foam type intake cover at the bottom. I cleaned the spongy intake cover after two weeks by squeezing it in tank water. Would that be enough or should I change the whole filter cartridge. Would that not stress the fish too much during the Ick treatment, and if not how do I quickly charge the new cartridge so the charging cycle is shorter?
