Filter??

Is a Whisper Ten too much filtration for a 1 gallon aquarium? I would like to put a betta in it but dont want it to get sucked in. It doesnt appear to be to powerful but thought I would ask here before I try.

It should be ok. But if you notice that its too much, take it off.

Well it is a little too powerful for the betta. He got stuck on the filter intake so I wrapped a cloth around the intake. Well he got stuck again. What can I do to prevent this. Taking the filter off is a last resort(I have no other filter for the tank and no $ to buy one)

You could try to put a sponge over the intake tube.

I have a betta and a filter (profile 10 HOB) and my betta has never gotten sucked up before...

I've never had experience with a whisper though. I would suggest a cheap sponge filter that you run with an air pump.
