i am getting ready to upgrade to a 72 or 90 gal bowfront my question is can i use a megaflow overflow combined with a canister filter? i would really like to have a clean instalation and thought this would be good i'm thinking fluval 405 and maybe an indergravel filter any ideas my budget is small but i do love my fish oh yeah it will be a fresh water setup if that helps thanks in advance for any help

Get a wetdry for the tank. The overflow is already built in. Much less of a headache than trying to plumb a cannister filtert into the hole in the bottom of the tank.

i would like to get a 72 or 90 gallon bow front i can get either for a very good price my question is this can i use a megaflow overflow with just a canister filter like the fluval 405 and have a undergravel filter would this work or would it be better to use the fluval with external plumbing? i want a clean install this will be my third tank the other two i have had in the past used simple power filters this is my first chance to go for a nice tank please help

405 should be good enough by it self for a 72 bow front i used to have one on my 75g tank..just up graded to a Cascade 1500 a few yrs ago!

What fish do you plan on keeping? Planted? Canisters should suffice for a tank that size, as will most HOBs.

If the goal is to do a clean install (read as minimal items being seen), I would drill for a wet/dry or use a siphon over flow.
