Fin bit off

I have two tetras that have had there fins bitten by a bigger more aggressive tetra of the same spices ive found online that there fins could grow back using melafix to aid in that prosses and weve also quarintined them. does this sound right to anyone any advise any info would be helpful

wich fin was bitten off, I had an exodon lose more than half his tail fin and it grew back fine, with no med's.

one was a little of the tail fin and the other was most of the tail fin and a little of the annal fin

I would reccomend using melafix, better be safe than sorry. I have heard that if the "rays" in the fins were gone that they cant grow back, but mine lost majority of its tail fin and it all came back normal. If you can move him to another tank, or get him away from the other tetras so they wont do it again while he's tryin to get better.
