Fin Regrowth?

Our fancy guppy is actually going through this right now...he had virtually no tail left due to our dwarf neon blue gourami 
(although, if I had to choose, I'd pick the gourami if he wouldn't have passed). Our guppy has been in our 29 gallon with some tiger barbs & platies and his tail is looking VERY good :clap:

if you have another tank i would put them in it and add melafix. here is what big als says about it.

yeah, fish fins usually grow back. but i had a female white cloud who lost her tail fin before i got her. i thought it would grow back, but it never did! the poor thing had to wiggle her butt really hard just to swim. i called her "Stumpy" 
Never did figure out why it never grew back, or how she lost it. But it was totally gone, it was just a stump, with no fin rays or webbing left at all :huh:
Stumpy never did as well as the others, and was the first to die. I think the hard work of swimming with a stump finally did her in. She was probably exhausted after surviving over two years with it
