Picked my python up tonight from the local convenience store (thats where I sent the money order from so I assume thats why bigals sent it there). Im going to try it tonight. :)

No matter what way I try, its either to big or to small to fit on any of the upstairs taps. So then I tried using the big end and holding it on the faucet part that was to small, and when I started draining the tank it took forever for the water to start coming out, and the tap was on full blast. With all the time it took just for that I could have done it faster with a bucket. Looks like I wasted my money on this.

BLASPHEMY!!!

Blasphemy!!!!!!! Blasphemy i tell you. What you have to do is unscrew all of the things on the sink. There should be like a screen thing is called a airrator. You have to unscrew that from the main part of the sink exit thing. Then you screw the smaller end to where the airrator was. Dont forget to tak out the rubber seal with it in it dosent screw in far enough. I have the same problem when i got mine. But you just have to take every thing appart you can the first time and then you can see where is fits. If you need more help i can take some pics of mine and post them for you.

Ive already tried what you suggested, I have tried all the ways. I'll either have to buy something extra for it or just not use it I guess. Sure post the pictures of yours.

i will shoot some pics tommarow. I tried with my webcam but they suck. I will get them up tommarow with my digital camera. Did you get the airrator out? Cuz once that is out that where the white plastic piece that came with the phyton screws in.

If none of your adapters that came with it fit the faucet then they sell an universal adapter for it. It goes right over the aerator and the end of the hose. It's a rubber hose that fits over both and a hose clamp on each end to tighten.

I'm not sure if Big Al's has them, but I know That Fish Place does. You could do one of two things. By one from one of these places or do what I would do. I would go to these sites and see for sure what it looks like. Go to Home Depot or the likes and buy the pieces there. You'll save some money by doing it that way. The three parts are real easy to find in the plumbing section of the stores.

To get my python knock-off to work, I had to go to a plumbing/hardware store to get a fitting that actually fit my sink because the one that came with the python was too big. What is your e-mail, I will send you a video of it.

Most good hardward or home stores will sell adapters that screw into your faucet and provide threaded fittings of other sizes. Take in the aerator that unscrews from your facuet and also take in the part of your Python that attaches to the faucet. They should be able to find you adapters that allow you to connect the Python. I had to go to a couple of stores, but one had all the pieces and it works like a charm.

Good luck,
Jim

I agree with JSchmidt and NJDevils Fan. Although I don't have a python yet (because I currently only have a 10 gal) I went through a similar situation with a carpet steamer. A good hardware or plumbing supply store will have what you need.
